Call for Volunteers

'Think urban! Demand Better!' is the theme for the Beltline Planning Policy Committee Open House happening on Saturday, May 8, downstairs @ 1311 Fourth Street SW.

We're going to showcase to Calgarians the results of months of work into turning a vision of better transit, streetscapes, parks, laneways, and governance for the Beltline into reality.

It's going to be an exciting day - and we'll need your help to make it happen.

We're asking you for four hours of your time on May 8, either from 11:00 to 15:00 or from 15:00 to 19:00. You'll be helping us to set up or take down exhibits and way finding materials, to run materials between the Beltline Planning Office and First Baptist Church, to assist open house patrons with Beltline Communities membership issues, to support subject matter experts at the open house, and to facilitate active participation in the future of our community.

In return, we're offering you free food, a thank-you reception once the open house closes, and the chance to meet some dedicated and fantastic people and to play a part in making history for Beltline Communities.

Please contact me directly if you think you can lend a hand and make a difference at the Beltline Communities Open House. You can reach me by e-mail at volunteer@beltline.ca or by phone at 403-462-6333.

An opportunity like this doesn't come every day. We know you're up for it. Thank you!
