CLIC is conducting a presentation that demonstrates the power of Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) strategies and how communities and the residents have the power to reduce property crimes by as much 80% with straightforward, simple changes to the built and social environment. An introduction to the basics of CPTED and some examples will give participants a solid basis for further action within their communities.

This proven set of strategies is encouraged by the City of Calgary and the Calgary Police Service and CLIC has utilized its relationship with the International CPTED Association to bring some of this leading edge information to our most important people – our residents.
